Robert is a passionate violin teacher that cares deeply about his student’s development. From the first time one picks up the instrument to the most seasoned players, Robert teaches the entire range of musical levels and ages. Robert places a strict emphasis for beginning students on the initial set-up and posture while holding the instrument, and also starting with rhythm-building exercises within the first month of lessons. Many of Robert’s students play with the area’s top youth orchestras including the New Jersey Youth Symphony, and some are also concerto competition winners. Some of Robert’s student’s have also gone on to pursue music degrees at notable music schools including Ithaca College in New York state. Robert currently serves as the strings adjudicator for the Mid-Atlantic Music Teacher’s Guild Competition in Princeton, NJ which is held each year in April. In the summers, Robert brings his passionate teaching style to California where he has the pleasure of serving as the Violin Faculty for the Cazadero Performing Arts Camp. Cazadero camp is a unique outdoor sleep away camp that combines music and traditional outdoor camp activities and environments and runs for approximately seven weeks for children of all ages and includes all orchestral instruments, guitar, and piano.
